The Downtown Columbia Partnership proudly announces the second annual Books in Bloom book festival, Columbia, Maryland’s ultimate celebration of the joys of books and reading. Following on the success of the inaugural book festival that included headliners Chimamanda Adichie, David Ebershoff, Michael Eric Dyson, and April Ryan, Books in Bloom will bring together some of the country’s best and brightest authors for a daylong festival featuring readings, panel discussions, children’s activities, and a pop-up bookstore by Politics & Prose.
Presenting sponsor The Howard Hughes Corporation is transforming Downtown Columbia, redeveloping 391-acres and repositioning the city as a true urban core and regional hub for culture and commerce. Books in Bloom is a signature event that’s not only reflective of the values Columbia residents share, but a celebration of literature as well.
